Brief Description
This step is actually very important, since in the
TeamSpeak 3 lifecycle it had support for 2 major different
architectures.
TeamSpeak started development around 2005 and the
first beta was released fall 2009, because of this period in 2005
most users were still using CPUs from the 90's which beginning the
year 2000 it had a major shift in processor power and speed, we
call it, "the transition period in computer power".
Processors that came after SSE2 initial release
offer backwards compatibility with SSE1 and SSE2 programs as well, so
TeamSpeak 3 can open in both. Keep in mind the SSE1 option above, was suppose to be
used only for those who can't afford SSE2 or if SSE2 slow down your computer, otherwise
if your processor is modern and has instructions like SSE3, for example, use SSE2 option instead.
Try to search a bit which instruction your CPU can
accept, otherwise programs like CPU-Z can help in telling you what
it supports.
What's the difference between SSE2 and
SSE processors
SSE2
stands for Streaming SIMD Extensions 2 (Single Instruction
Multiple Data) processor supplementary instruction set, introduced
by Intel with the initial version for the Pentium 4 in the year
2000 and subsequently for AMD releasing Opteron and Athlon
64/AMD64 ranges in 2003. Without the need to go deeper into the
topic and how a CPU actually works, basically...

SSE processors are designed for older processors
between 1999 and 2001. SSE or SSE1
was introduced as part
of Intel Pentium III Katmai (450-600 MHz), released in
February 1999 and ended on Pentium III Tualatin (1000-1400
MHz) in June 2001.

SSE2 in other hand, was first introduced as
part of Intel Pentium 4 Willamette (1.3-2.0 GHz),
released in
the year 2000 for consumers and enterprise markets and ended on Intel Pentium 4 Northwood (1.6-2.80 GHz) in 2002.
Keep in mind, although the development of SSE1 and
SSE2 ended, manufacturers still include the instruction in every
modern CPU that gets released today, so programs can always open
old software in them, if they are dependent from these specific instructions.

If you have Windows 8
/ 10 or later or Microsoft Office 2013 or later installed, that
means your CPU already can can handle SSE2 instructions.
